Vann — who missed most of the 2011 season due to a knee injury — came in at 6-over par on the front nine holes during Wednesday’s Class 3, Sectional 3 championships at Briarbrook Country Club. Then after bogeying the first hole on the back nine, Vann found himself in quite a predicament.
