The William Woods University and Park University softball teams both busted out for big innings, and the by-product will be a decisive third game.
William Woods broke a 3-3 tie by putting up seven runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and pulled away for an 11-3, six-inning victory over Park on Tuesday afternoon in the opener of the best-of-three series in the American Midwest Conference Tournament semifinals at Backer Field.
