Jackson, Miss. — The Owls got back above .500 with a two-game sweep of Millsaps College on Friday. William Woods won the first game 3-2 in nine innings and then took the second contest by a score of 4-2.
The Owls took the lead in the first game on an RBI double from freshman Macy Wierschem to plate senior pitcher Kelsey Schulte in the top of the fourth inning. Freshman designated hitter Caroline Sicht crossed the plate next on a sacrifice fly from freshman first baseman Kacey Schamhorst to make it a 2-0 William Woods lead.
