New Bloomfield students attend national leadership conference

Ten New Bloomfield Junior High School students have returned from a national leadership conference in Chicago to learn leadership skills.

The New Bloomfield students were among 800 students from around the world who attended the three-day Leadership Experience and Development (LEAD) conference.

Students attending the conference were Nicole Dawson, Taylor Howard, Paige Ragar, Zoe Welschemeyer, Alyssa Bradley, Rebecca Bade, Mackenzie Beck, Paul Becker, Stephanie Davis and Jessica Daro.

The LEAD conference is a program created by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). The organization administers the National Honor Society and the National Association of Student Councils.

The New Bloomfield students attended workshops on how to build leadership skills, problem solving, project planning, fundraising, team building, idea sharing and networking.
