Taylor, Lady Owls coast in semifinals

Play at Columbia College for AMC title Monday night

Ashlee Taylor was almost perfect in helping send the William Woods University Lady Owls to the championship of the AMC women's postseason tournament.

The junior guard delivered a career-high 25 points Friday night and No. 2 seed William Woods demolished No. 7 Williams Baptist (Ark.) College 80-55 in an American Midwest Conference semifinal game at Anderson Arena.

The Lady Owls (22-9) - winners of four straight - will now look toward a showdown against No. 24 Columbia College (24-8) for the AMC title at 7 p.m. Monday at Southwell Complex in Columbia. The top-seeded Lady Cougars, owners of an eight-game winning streak, reached the finals with an 83-67 semifinal victory over No. 4 Park University on Friday night in Columbia.
