Ashlee Taylor was almost perfect in helping send the William Woods University Lady Owls to the championship of the AMC women’s postseason tournament.
The junior guard delivered a career-high 25 points Friday night and No. 2 seed William Woods demolished No. 7 Williams Baptist (Ark.) College 80-55 in an American Midwest Conference semifinal game at Anderson Arena.
The Lady Owls (22-9) — winners of four straight — will now look toward a showdown against No. 24 Columbia College (24-8) for the AMC title at 7 p.m. Monday at Southwell Complex in Columbia. The top-seeded Lady Cougars, owners of an eight-game winning streak, reached the finals with an 83-67 semifinal victory over No. 4 Park University on Friday night in Columbia.
