"The citizen had read the story and recalled seeing a similar vehicle in the neighborhood," Sgt. Clay Chism confirmed.

Following that lead, deputies located the suspect vehicle at the residence of Thomas E. Schneider, 33, of Millersburg.

"Schneider is the vehicle owner, and in the course of the investigation, it was determined a second suspect was in another residence nearby," Chism said.

He said evidence collected at Schneider's home led deputies to arrest Billy Miller, 55, also of Millersburg.

Both men were arrested on charges of second-degree burglary and stealing and taken to the Callaway County Jail on $5,000 bond.

"Deputies are still working to recover stolen items, and it is believed some items are out of the county," Chism said.
