Both occupants were wearing seat belts and the vehicle was demolished, the patrol reported.

On Saturday night two people were injured in a rear end collision on U.S. 63 in Callaway County.

The patrol reported the accident occurred when a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Alphonso D. Cason, 41, Columbia, was southbound on U.S. 63 about 2.3 miles north of U.S. 54 and was disabled on the roadway with no lights on because of a previous accident. Cason's vehicle was struck in the rear by a southbound 2013 Lincoln MKS driven by William T. McNamara, 57, of Gary, Ind.
