Led by three selections from Class 2 state champion South Callaway, six Callaway County baseball players have been chosen to their respective 2012 all-state teams by the Missouri Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association.
South Callaway senior infielder Hunter Leeper was a Class 2 first-team choice, while junior Bradley Smart and freshman Cory Hanger — both outfielders — were second-team picks.
Fulton sophomore infielder Dalton Horstmeier was a first-team selection in Class 3, while North Callaway senior infielder Zach Lavy and senior pitcher Collin Brinker were both second-team choices.
