Lady Hornets clip Boonville in OT

You'll have to excuse T.J. Quick if she was a little fired up.

Fulton's first-year head coach had just watched her Lady Hornets relinquish the lead to Boonville for the first time Thursday night and they were severely lacking in momentum.

So Quick called a timeout to stop the slide and to remind her players of a few facts.

"This team, we have moments where we die down and let teams back in it," Quick said. "I called the timeout just to make sure we didn't let them back in the game ... If you let a good team like Boonville back in, they'll come back in for good.

"We were right there and I just wanted them to keep going and keep pushing."

Quick broke through to her players and Fulton finally prevailed. The Lady Pirates sent the game into overtime, but the Lady Hornets eventually pulled out a 56-49 North Central Missouri Conference victory over Boonville at Roger D. Davis Gymnasium.
