Two places to offer free help in preparing income tax forms

People who need help in preparing their income taxes can receive free assistance this tax season at two locations in Fulton.

One is at the Callaway Senior Center and the other is at Westminster College.

Adults over age 60 and low income individuals can receive assistance from Feb. 1-3 at the Callaway Senior Center, 531 Commons Drive in the Fulton Commons Shopping Center in Fulton.

After the first three days, volunteer tax preparers will be available at the Senior Center from 9 a.m. to noon only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until this year's extended tax deadline of April 17.

The service at the Senior Center is made possible through the American Association of Retired People (AARP) Tax Wise Program.

There is no charge for the service at the Callaway Senior Center but donations to the Callaway Senior Center will be accepted.

To help the tornado-stricken people of Dumas and surroundings, donations can be made to the Delta Area Disaster Relief Fund, care of the Delta Area Community Foundation, P.O. Box 894, Dumas, AR, 71639, or through the Arkansas Community Foundation, 700 S. Rock St., Little Rock, AR, 72202.
