A search warrant obtained by law enforcement officers from the Central Missouri MUSTANG drug task force and Fulton Police resulted in the arrest of two Fulton men late Saturday on drug charges.
After a raid was conducted at 913 Julian St. at 11:43 p.m. Saturday, two Fulton men were arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Arrested were Benjamin Twitchell, 39, and Timothy Darnell White, 20, both of Fulton.
During a search of the residence, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a white powder substance were found, police reported.
Police reported both men were issued a summons to appear in court to answer the charges.
The investigation is continuing and additional charges in connection with the investigation are pending, police reported.
On July 1, 2011, Twitchell pleaded guilty to a charge of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and was fined $100.

kicking in someone's front door for smoking a little pot on their couch in the privacy of their own home. A pretty poor use of police resources and taxpayer dollars if you ask me.

Doesn't say anything about the door being kicked in. Says, Police issued a search warrant. And last time I checked, smoking "a little" pot is just as illegal as smoking a lot no matter how you feel if it is right or not. Maybe they shouldn't do drugs. Just saying. As far as police resources go, this is EXACTLY what we taxpayers expect the police to do. The Mustang task force doesn't just bust a couple of guys for smoking weed. Heck, most of Fulton would go down if that was the case. They spend time investigating all of the people they bust, so they must have had a good reason for arresting these two.

You are right "The Shield"it doesn't say they kicked his door in. It also doesn't they bashed his door in with a battering ram, shot 3 flash bangs in 2 of which came back out and blew up on them, and the third that blew out his first step in his house, blew a hole in the wall and floor landed in the basement closet and almost caught the house on fire.Thats a little much at 3:00 in the a.m. with the lights on in the house all they had to do was knock he would have let them in, and all they found is some drug paraphernalia and a VERY SMALL amount of weed like 15 dollars worth. That sounds like a waste of taxpayer money to me. As for their "investigating" they must not have done any , he has to get a ride to work everyday has his mother living with him to help pay bills. If they invesigated at all they would have found out how behind he is his bills.I wouldn't think thats how a BIG drug dealer lives, which is what they made him out to be.

Look I have known Ben for a long time and one thing he is not is a drug dealer. He is a good guy with a bad habit. The Mustang task force just took his bad habit and made him out to be a BIG drug dealer by putting him on the news and in the paper to make them selfs look good to the puplic.
