the competition was ruined when parents (cheat) started purchasing prebuilt cars (cheat) off the internet that are guaranteed to win (cheat). shameful.

It sounds like you are a little upset because you might have lost? My son's derby race had a lot of quality cars that were built from the block of wood they were given, and one of those cars won the race. Maybe some parents and child are able to make a car better than others. Until you could actually confirm that they did that, it would be more respectful to not to accuse the kids of doing that.

to rock1853: I'm sorry you feel this way. Since you are anonymous on this I cannot respond to this directly. Since you are inferring that you are participant in the McIntire Cub Pack 55, I would expect you to talk to me about this one on one or at the Pack meeting. I personally didn't see any cars that looked pre-bought online. You may, at Micheal's or Hobby Lobby, buy shapes if you and your son are not comfortable using power tools or don't have access to them. Again, if there is a problem, the best course of action is to talk to the leaders in charge.

crazy did i say the children did this? no i didn't so don't lecture me about false allegations.
my son and i participated a few years ago. i congratulated the winning child after the race. he told me his father purchased the car online for $120.00. his mother appologized and stated that she knew they had cheated to get the trophy. their actions do not reflect on mr. crane's great work with the boys or pack 55. i would hope that doesn't happen anymore and if i offended i appologize.
