NoCal school board may see contest for two open spots

KINGDOM CITY - Two new candidates to the North Callaway Board of Education have filed for April's election, hoping to win a seat on the board.

With one board member saying he also plans to refile, there would be three individuals vying for the two seats available.

Long-time board member Patsy Austin said Wednesday she doesn't plan to refile. The deadline to file is Tuesday, and member Dennis Zerr said he hasn't filed yet but probably will. Members serve a three-year term.

Newcomers to the race are Scott Starkey, of Williamsburg, and Curt Warfield Jr., of Fulton.
