MOKANE - As of Thursday, the two open seats for the council here were uncontested.
Mokane City Council incumbents Lori Lamons and Jo Belmont have both refiled for another two-year term, reported City Clerk Dee Pfeiffer. The deadline to file is Tuesday.
Lamons - who said she believes she's just completed her fourth term on the council - has lived in Mokane since 1972. She said she likes working with the community.
