Bulldogs fall just short in loss to New Haven

NEW HAVEN - The New Haven Shamrocks did just enough to outlast the South Callaway Bulldogs in a low-scoring affair.

South Callaway possessed a narrow 5-4 lead after one quarter, but New Haven outscored the Bulldogs 12-9 in the second quarter to take a 16-14 advantage into halftime. South Callaway then outscored the Shamrocks 12-8 in the third quarter, carrying a slim 26-24 edge into the final 8 minutes of play.

Sophomore guard Garner Rudroff produced 15 points to guide the Bulldogs (6-3), who had their two-game winning streak stopped. Junior forward Trent Ellermann chipped in with eight points and pulled down a team-high 15 rebounds.
