A Callaway County woman wanted for a probation violation led Callaway County Sheriff’s deputies on a chase Tuesday that ended when her car crashed on state Road UU, south of Fulton.
The Callaway County Sheriff’s Department reported the department received a call from the Callaway County Probation and Parole Office informing them that Hailey Rice of Callaway County had an arrest warrant pending for a probation violation.
Callaway County deputies responded and saw Rice sitting in her vehicle outside the probation and parole office.
Deputies said Rice drove her car away from the parking lot when she saw the deputies' vehicles.
Deputies pursued Rice along state Road O to state Road UU where Rice lost control of her vehicle on a curve. She was injured when she was ejected from the vehicle.
Rice was flown by a Staff for Life helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia.
The Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident.
