Westminster to face MacMurray for tournament title Saturday afternoon

— The Westminster College Blue Jays reached the finals of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference postseason tournament by stifling the second-highest scoring team in the conference.

No. 2 seed Westminster advanced to Saturday’s title game with a 74-60 victory over No. 3 Eureka (Ill.) College on Thursday night.

Sophomore guard Joe James delivered a game-high 19 points and seven rebounds to direct four players in double figures for Westminster, which stretched its winning streak to five games. Freshman guard Verdis Lee — a Fulton graduate — also provided 18 points and a team-high 12 rebounds, while junior guard Skylar Tolson responded with a season-high 17 points.
