By his count, Fulton Hornets basketball coach Marques Baldwin figures there are 20 high school teams in the country who can lose a battle of intensity but still win a game. They’re just talented enough to overcome it.
Unfortunately, his Hornets are not one of those teams. And their latest letdown was proof positive. After surging in the third quarter to take momentum and the lead, Fulton couldn’t close out the fourth quarter — and a victory.
The Hornets dropped their North Central Missouri Conference game to the Kirksville Tigers 54-51 on Tuesday night at Roger D. Davis Stadium.
