Wickham, who has served on the Kingdom of Callaway Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors as well as the Fulton Street Fair Committee and the Women’s Network, said she is looking forward to the chance to continue to make an impact.

“(The United Way) just seems like they can help so many more people,” Wickham said. “I have been in a position where we were struggling to make ends meet, and I know how valuable that assistance is to a household.

“I feel privileged to be asked to join a group that provides that help.”

She said she continues to seek out opportunities to serve the community because, “I believe helping people should be everyone’s main goal.”

In a United Way press release, Hill said he also is excited about providing that kind of service.

“Since moving to Fulton nearly three years ago, I’ve been looking for ways to give back to the community,” Hill said.
