JEFFERSON CITY — It was closer than expected.
That may not be much of a shock, though, considering Chamois is the No. 6 team in the state for Class 1. The Lady Pirates are going to get everybody’s best game, which is exactly what New Bloomfield had to offer.
And while it was close for a half, Chamois used a 17-4 third quarter to gain some separation and hold on for a 40-28 victory Saturday afternoon in the Missouri National Guard Shootout at Fleming Fieldhouse.
