CCSO seeks parole absconder wanted on burglary charges

The Callaway County Sheriff's Office is looking for Joseph B. Wyatt, 24, a parole absconder from Auxvasse.

Wyatt is originally wanted for charges of burglary with no bond. He may be in the Auxvasse or Mexico area, according to CCSO Sgt. Clay Chism.

"He has family and friends in both Northern Callaway and Audrain County," said Chism, who said the office has received tips from concerned citizens that Wyatt was still in the area.

CCSO officials believe Wyatt was the passenger in a vehicle that crashed on US-54 at approximately 12:30 a.m. Thursday near North Callaway High School. They say Wyatt fled the scene before deputies and troopers arrived, and posted on his Facebook that he had fled following a wreck in which the vehicle rolled over three times.
