Darrin D. Smithee, 47, of Auxvasse, was arrested by Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies Dec. 18 for three counts of violation of an order of protection and one count of aggravated stalking.

CCSO Sgt. Clay Chism said Smithee allegedly contacted a female victim by text message, written letter and telephone, violating a protection order.

Chism said the woman was a former social acquaintance, and the messages were “harassing, vulgar” and he sent them “several times over a matter of days. The harassment was nearly constant at points.”
