Hornets not sharp again in NCMC loss to Tigers

Fulton Hornets head coach Ryan Shaw got to the point with many words. Junior guard Jerome Mandley took a more direct route.

Either way, when summing up the Hornets’ performance against the Kirksville Tigers, both could settle at the same place.

“It’s like (Shaw) said before the game, it’s execution, and we didn’t have it,” Mandley said.

Implementing its press defense, knocking down free throws and converting layups in transition were just some of the areas that didn’t come easily for Fulton, which fell to Kirksville 60-42 in North Central Missouri Conference play Friday night at Roger D. Davis Gymnasium.
