New Bloomfield The New Bloomfield Fire Protection District responded to a call at about 1 p.m. Tuesday when a trailer home here was burned to the ground.
Fire Chief Travis Bell said that they were called to the home after the owner returned from leaving briefly.
“We arrived about three or four minutes later with two primary trucks, and mutual aid from Central (Callaway Fire Protection District) and Holts Summit for manpower,” said Bell. “The house and garage were fully involved when we arrived.”
