Ladybirds to play for championship at Centralia

CENTRALIA — Junior forward Maddie Sorell supplied a game-high 21 points Wednesday night, steering the unbeaten North Callaway Ladybirds to a 50-38 win over Salisbury in the semifinals of the 57th-annual Centralia Invitational Tournament.

Sophomore guard Elaine Brinker added 13 points for No. 2 seed North Callaway (5-0), which will play for the title against No. 4 Macon at 8 p.m. Friday. Macon advanced by knocking off top-seeded Sturgeon in Wednesday night’s first semifinal.
