NEW BLOOMFIELD — North Callaway head coach Jack Peace wishes his Ladybirds would play, well, a little meaner. Free-throw shooting is an area New Bloomfield Lady Wildcats head coach Brett Craighead thinks his squad can improve upon.
In fact, when looking at the final 12-point margin, New Bloomfield’s 16 missed free throws loomed even larger.
“They just hit free throws and we didn’t,” Craighead said.
And while the Ladybirds played a little too nice for Peace’s liking, North Callaway turned up the intensity just enough to put New Bloomfield away 52-40 on Friday night to remain unbeaten.
