Mokane The South Callaway Bulldogs are taking every precaution to keep a stirring win in perspective.
Based off its 27-13 victory in last week’s season opener at North Callaway, South Callaway leaped into this week’s Class 2 state rankings at No. 9. North Callaway was ranked No. 8 in the preseason poll, while the Bulldogs received two votes.
South Callaway will seek to get a bump from its early momentum when it plays its home opener tonight against Crystal City (0-1). Kickoff is at 7. It will be the first meeting between the two schools.
