WWU chaplain teams with Tim McGraw tribute, local video media company to produce MU football anthem

Proceeds from iTunes sales to help rebuild Joplin

William Woods University's chaplain has joined forces with a Tim McGraw tribute act and a local multimedia production company to write a Mizzou football-themed parody of McGraw's hit "Southern Voice," with proceeds from the song going toward the relief effort in Joplin.

Travis Tamerius' song "Southern Choice," celebrating the Tigers' introduction into the SEC athletic conference, will be brought to life in McGraw's vocal stylings by country singer-songwriter Adam D. Tucker, known for his McGraw cover act.

The singer will perform the song in a free concert open to students and the public at William Woods' Junior Lake Dock 6:30 p.m. Sept. 6, and film a music video for the song during a Sept. 5 concert at the Blue Note in Columbia with help from Fulton native and WWU alum David Anderson - president of Chimaeric, a motion media production company that has produced videos for MU's athletic department.
