Bulldogs enter brand-new phase, look to reload

MOKANE - After such an impressive run, the South Callaway Bulldogs football team is seemingly starting over.

South Callaway head coach Tim Rulo is hoping that's not the case, despite losing eight starters on both offense and defense from last year's team that compiled a 10-2 mark and made the Class 2 state playoffs for the fourth year in a row. The Bulldogs' season ended in a 14-8 sectional loss to Blair Oaks.

Rulo and the Bulldogs leap from a new jumping-off point - possibly reloading - when they start the 2012 season with the annual Callaway Cup game at North Callaway tonight. Kickoff is at 7.
