Williamsburg's next top model

Crane's Country Store, Studio Seven photography hold Missouri Model Search

Aspiring mid-Missouri models have their chance at a photo shoot and shopping spree thanks to Crane's Country Store's Missouri Model Search.

The winner will be featured in the Williamsburg shop's online store, social media advertising and print ads, will receive $150 in free clothing, and will also receive free modeling training and portfolio photography from Studio Seven, Lydia Schuster of Fulton's photography studio and partners with Crane's Store for the competition.

Crane's Country Store co-owner David Crane said that the store always made an effort to use local faces in their advertising, though it had never done a model search on this scale to look for talent.

"We've never really kind of done a contest," said Crane. "Before it's been if we see someone walk in the store and we'd ask if they would mind doing this. There's a lot of people out there I might not see, and quite honestly it's a good way to get some people who've never been out here before but come check us out. We want someone active on social media and things like that, so you can take their picture you tag them in it so everyone sees it."
