Two Republicans are competing in Tuesday's primary election for the Callaway County Eastern District Commissioner's job now held by Democrat Gabe Craighead, who did not seek re-election. They are Randall Kleindienst of Kingdom City and Carl Linnenbringer of Hatton.
In the November general election, the winner of Tuesday's Republican primary election will face Democrat Bryant Liddle, who has no opposition in Tuesday's primary election.
Kleindienst is a 24-year employee of the Callaway County Road and Bridge Department, a Callaway County real estate agent for 15 years, a residential builder and real estate developer.
A native of Callaway County, Kleindienst is a 1980 graduate of South Callaway High School.
