The Bemberger brothers are two of a kind.
Clifford and Clifton, twin brothers born in Watson in 1937 before moving to Fulton in the mid ‘50s, will be turning 75 Aug. 10.
The Bembergers grew up on their family farm in Atchison County, where their father grew corn. Their formative years taught them the value of hard work, but when it was time to move out on their own, Fulton soon became home.
“We have a cousin, (the late Gary McDonald,) who used to live out here,” said Clifford. “We were pretty close, more like brothers than cousins. We visited him and just liked it here, so decided to stay.”
