Owls baseball team posts wins over Culver, McKendree

William Woods University second baseman Jacob Harrison's squeeze bunt with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning scored freshman second baseman Austin Clapp with the winning run as the Owls rallied for a wild 12-11 victory Tuesday night over Culver-Stockton College.

William Woods - which overcame an 8-0 deficit at Owls Field - extended its winning streak to seven games while moving its season record to 33-17. In the first game of the split doubleheader earlier Tuesday, the Owls erupted for nine runs in the seventh inning to spark a 12-4 romp over NCAA Division II McKendree (Ill.) University.
