A recent drive by Troop F of the Missouri State Highway Patrol to inspect trucks, buses and other large vehicles resulted in 659 safety violations.
The special inspections were made in Callaway, Cole and Boone counties from April 9 to April 13.
During the stepped up spot inspections, 257 commercial vehicles were inspected that resulted in 659 violations.
A total of 54 commercial vehicles and 11 drivers were placed out of service because of serious safety violations.
