JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — Sophomore pitcher Brittany Lee provided some pop on both the mound and at the plate for the Westminster College Lady Blue Jays softball team.
Lee threw a one-hit shutout and also had four hits — including a two-run home run and a two-run double — and scored four times as Westminster demolished MacMurray College 16-0 in five innings in the nightcap of Wednesday’s SLIAC doubleheader.
The Lady Blue Jays completed a sweep and extended their winning streak to four games after prevailing in the opener 4-1. Westminster evened its season record at 13-13 while improving to 7-3 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
