Blue Jays get just five hits in league loss to Spalding

Five different Westminster players had the hits for the Blue Jays in their 4-0 loss to St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foe Spalding on Sunday.

Westminster got singles from sophomores Andy Pichler, Danton Hughes, juniors Kevin Moritz, Matt Mallette and senior Nick Hoag each had a hit.

Senior Brandon Zucker was the losing pitcher, allowing four runs on eight hits and four walks.

The Blue Jays (8-16, 4-8 SLIAC) play a league doubleheader at Principia at 5 p.m. today.
