HALLSVILLE — North Callaway senior starter Collin Brinker threw a three-hitter and struck out 11, and the Thunderbirds manufactured just enough offense to slip past Hallsville 1-0 in Friday’s Mid-Missouri Conference opener.
The victory was the fifth straight for defending MMC champion North Callaway, which moved its season record to 6-1. Hallsville dropped to 1-3.
