Osage brings halt to Lady Hornets hot start

Heads, shoulders and spirits were down as Fulton Lady Hornets head coach Kati Wallace stood in the middle of a seated circle of her players just to the side of the field.

But before breaking the huddle and telling her team to tidy up the field, Wallace made one other request.

"If you don't like the way this felt, don't let it happen again," Wallace said.

It was the feeling of defeat, something that - until Tuesday night - the Lady Hornets hadn't experienced yet this season.

School of the Osage senior striker Summer Dean scored the deciding goal on a throw-in with two minutes left in regulation to send Fulton to a 4-3 loss at the high school athletic complex.
