Colorful Civil War re-enactors clad in Civil War uniforms of the North and South will participate Sept. 30 in a 150th anniversary observance of the forming of the Kingdom of Callaway.

The event is planned to begin on the Callaway County Courthouse square.

The Blue-Gray Color Guard at the event will be provided by the Elijah Gates Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

The event will begin at approximately 5 p.m. after the Fulton High School Homecoming Parade clears through the area.
