Fulton's McCarthy places 7th at Fulton Invitational meet

Lady Hornets junior Jenny McCarty's finishing time of 21 minutes and seven seconds earned her a medal and a seventh place finish in the varsity girls' division at the 26th annual Fulton Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Hornets finished 13th out of 16 schools in the team standings.

Senior Kelly Oldani came in 49th place with a time of 23:43.59, junior Angela Hinchie finished her run in a time of 28:01 to come in 109th place and senior Katie Burch's 28:46.73 led to a 112th place finish.

Senior Veronica Tuthill and junior Katie Gibson came in 122nd and 123rd place respectively. Tuthill came in with 35:06.67 while Gibson came in at 39:54.46.

The Fulton boys' had a trio of runners compete on the day. Senior Brian Crosby came in 95th place in a time of 20:34.95, freshman Eli Alcorn came in 119th place in a time of 22:21.48 and sophomore Keegan Stone's time of 22:49.45 was good for 123rd place.

The Hornets run next at 4 p.m. today at the Boonville Invitational.
