Loretta J. Thompson, 42, Fulton, was killed and seven others were injured in a head-on collision Saturday afternoon.
The injured included Callaway County residents of Mokane, Steedman and Holts Summit.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident was at 3:20 p.m. on U.S. 63 near the intersection of State Road T in Osage County.
The accident occurred when Thompson's northbound 2004 Chevrolet crossed the center line and struck head-on a southbound 2004 Pontiac driven by Kraig J. Walker, 32, Eugene, the patrol reported.
The patrol reported that after the collision Walker's vehicle came to rest on impact but Thompson's vehicle rotated back across the center line and off the roadway.
