Tire, electronic recycling collection set Saturday

The annual Central Missouri household recycling collection of old tires and electronic waste will be on Saturday in Fulton.

The eight-county regional collection event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fulton City warehouse, 1024 Westminster Ave.

The recycling collection event is reserved for households and farms only. No early drop-offs are permitted and businesses are not eligible to participate in the event.

A $5 fee is imposed to dispose of each television or computer monitor. People who bring copy machines and microwaves to the recycling event also will be charged a $5 fee for each item. There is no charge for other electronic waste items.

People who bring old ties to the event must pay to have them recycled. The fee is $1 for each car tire 16 inches or smaller or $2 if still on the rim.
