The board of directors of Callaway County Special Services has decided to contract with a professional firm to operate Timbrook House, a residential care facility for developmentally disabled clients in New Bloomfield.
Rick Gohring, a member of the board of directors of Callaway County Special Services, said Tuesday a series of complaints about services provided to clients led to the decision to seek a professional firm to operate the facility.
Gohring said after complaints mounted a few months ago the board decided to make personnel changes but the level of services did not improve enough.
Julia Kaufman was hired as a new director of Callaway County Special Services. She was tasked when she started the new job to find a professional firm to operate Timbrook House.
