"It could be that the good Lord likes a little pickin' too."

Ron Lutz's good friend Stewart Brunner recalls the Tom Hall lyric when he thinks about him. Brunner said the line was one of Lutz's favorite quotes, and as he thought about Lutz's death Thursday, Brunner said, "Now the Lord's got a good picker."

Lutz, 83, passed away Thursday morning. To many, he was a country music legend in the Kingdom. Not only was he the DJ for Fulton's KFAL 900 AM country radio station for 38 years, his "Rooster Creek Show" was on the air for 52 years. Lutz and The Rooster Creek Boys' jams would air on KFAL every Saturday morning.
