Marty Martin-Forman, chief operating officer of Fulton State Hospital, was a member of a team that won the 2011 Governor’s Award for Quality and Productivity.
The Missouri Department of Mental Health’s team was charged with reorganizing state mental health services and downsizing Fulton State Hospital.
Keith Schafer, department director, said: “In my time in state government since 1970, I have seen many such awards presented for some highly laudatory innovations, but none of them was as exemplary or well deserved as the work of this team on inpatient redesign.”
