On Nov. 11, voices from all over Callaway County will be raised in support of the SERVE, Inc. food pantry.
The Richland Baptist Church Gospel Sing for SERVE concert starts at the church at 7 p.m., and its aim - as the name implies - is to swell the food pantry's shelves. Singers from around the area will perform primarily Christian and gospel music, with admission to the concert being a non-perishable food item or financial contribution.
"We wanted to do something for the community, and felt this would be a good way to do it," said Rick Smith, pastor of Richland Baptist Church. "A lot of people are needing help with food, and SERVE needs help."
