Arrests made in suspicious incident on burglary-plagued NN

Two people were arrested on State Road NN Friday after a Callaway County Sheriff's Office deputy spotted what appeared to be suspicious activity.

Levi Tyrone Salmons, 24, of Callaway, was arrested on a charge of second-degree property damage, first degree trespassing and possession under 35 grams of marijuana.

Danielle L. Watts, 23, of Centertown, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in Callaway County on an original charge of wildlife violation.

According to a release from the sheriff's office, a deputy was patrolling State Road NN at 11:48 a.m. - due to a recent string of burglaries and thefts in the area - when they noticed a red Chevrolet pickup truck with a white tailgate parked in front of a gate at a location where thefts had been reported before.
