The Fulton Rotary is calling on Callaway County's top chefs to put their chili where their mouths are in support of a good cause.
On Oct. 29, the Rotary is hosting a Community Challenge Chili Cook-off in the Fulton Commons Parking Lot to benefit SERVE, with the Rotary Club matching up to $1,000 in funds raised.
"We were just looking for a fun event for our members and the community," said Rotary president Marcia Lamons. "We decided to do it as a fundraiser and go ahead and raise some money for SERVE."
There is a $20 entry fee until Oct. 20, after which local cooks hoping to prove their chili-making skills will pay $30 to enter the contest.
