Prosecutor: Auxvasse alderman arrest is ‘civil issue’

— City officials here remain quiet after the arrest of an Auxvasse alderman on Friday.

George E. (Trey) Baumgartner, 30, was taken into custody on the charge of distribution of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was later released from the Callaway County Jail on a $15,000 bond. Baumgartner said Monday he had no comment regarding his arrest.
