Mabel Fischer, 92, has many memories of time spent at White Cloud Presbyterian Church.

She remembers going to Sunday School there, being baptized at the church, her mother playing the piano for service, and playing between the pews with the other children (one who later became her husband). Fischer and her husband, Marvin, were caretakers of White Cloud for many years. Both originally from the area, they moved around some but always came back to Callaway.

“We always held our church in our hearts,” Fischer said.

This marks the 180th year of the church’s establishment.
